Launching an ad and tracking performance

Classic and advanced launch, and the metrics on the Performance tab.

When you are ready to put something live, Campaigns gives you two ways to build it, so you can move quickly when the setup is simple and take full control when it is not.

Classic and advanced

  • Classic is a guided, streamlined setup. It walks you through the essentials step by step and is the right choice for a straightforward launch.
  • Advanced gives you full control over the campaign structure, for when you need to shape things exactly the way you want.

You can start either one from Campaigns, and anything you are not ready to launch is saved in Draft tasks so you can pick it back up later.

Watching performance

Once your ads are running, the Performance tab brings the numbers back from Meta, per ad account, without you having to open Meta Ads Manager. You will see Spend, Impressions, Clicks, CTR, CPM, Purchases and ROAS together in one place, which is enough to tell at a glance which campaigns are earning their budget and which need a rethink.

The figures on the Performance tab come straight from Meta, so they line up with what you would see in Ads Manager. If a number looks off, it is worth checking that the ad account is fully synced under Connected assets.
